Hearts of Oak in advanced talks to appoint Didi Dramani as head coach

-

Accra Hearts of Oak are reportedly close to appointing Mas-Ud Didi Dramani as their new head coach ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

The Phobians endured a challenging campaign under Ivorian coach Aboubakar Ouattara, finishing fourth in the league with 58 points and exiting the FA Cup at the Round of 16 stage.

Determined to bounce back stronger, the club has begun a restructuring process, including the formation of a dedicated recruitment team to oversee player acquisitions for the upcoming season.

Although former Legon Cities coach Maxwell Konadu was earlier linked to the role, fresh reports suggest Hearts are now in advanced discussions with Didi Dramani. He currently serves as head coach of Ghana’s Black Galaxies and has also worked as an assistant coach at Danish side FC Nordsjaelland.

Dramani brings a wealth of experience, having previously managed Asante Kotoko and served in various national team roles, including with the Black Queens, Black Maidens, and the senior Black Stars.

His potential appointment signals Hearts of Oak’s intent to return to their glory days under the leadership of a proven local tactician.
