The Ministry of Health has dismissed concerns over a potential suspension of services under the Lightwave Health Information Management System (LHIMS), assuring the public and health workers that the system will continue operating without interruption.
This comes in response to a circular issued on May 29, 2025, by Lightwave eHealthcare Solutions, indicating its intent to halt LHIMS services.
According to the Ministry, the decision came as a surprise, as there had been no formal prior communication from the service provider.
However, following a productive engagement with the Minister of Health, Lightwave eHealthcare Solutions has rescinded its decision and agreed to continue delivering its services across all relevant health facilities.
In a press release signed by spokesperson Tony Goodman, the Ministry assured stakeholders that all outstanding issues between the parties will be resolved amicably.
