Popular marriage counsellor and media personality, Charlotte Oduro, has voiced her disappointment with social media users who she says take pleasure in tearing others down.
In a video posted to Instagram on May 16, 2025, Oduro sarcastically congratulated such individuals, describing their actions as “diabolic” and harmful to society.
“Sometimes I sit and wonder how people celebrate evil,” she lamented. “Congratulations, because you’ve won by betraying someone. You’ve won by watching someone in pain—especially innocent people. And you’re happy, getting others to support and celebrate that evil.”
She accused critics on social media of orchestrating deliberate attempts to ruin reputations, lacking empathy, and rejoicing in the suffering of others.
Quoting scripture, she pointed to the Bible’s prophecy that a time would come when good would be seen as evil and evil as good, insisting that society is now witnessing that reality.
Citing the crucifixion of Jesus Christ as an example, Oduro encouraged those who have been unfairly attacked online to take comfort in knowing they are not alone.
“They may seem to have the upper hand today. The same happened to Jesus. The very people he sacrificed for ended up mocking him,” she said.
“He endured it in silence and went to the cross. Learn from Jesus. Let the whole world speak against you—just tell God to have mercy.”
Charlotte Oduro’s message served as both a rebuke to online bullies and a word of encouragement to victims of character assassination.
