Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Administration at the Presidency, Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, represented President John Dramani Mahama and Mrs Lordina Mahama at the Ringway Gospel Assemblies of God Church to mark the 2026 Women’s Ministry Day celebration.
In her address, Nana Oye thanked the President and Mrs Mahama for the privilege of standing in for them. She revealed that both had personally called her beforehand.

“The President said, ‘Nana, you have to be at the Women’s Ministry Week celebrations at Ringway Gospel Church and represent us fully.’ I said, ‘Yes!’ Indeed, I’m happy to worship with you once again. The church is who we are, and the Women’s Ministry is too,” she said.

“On behalf of the President and our mother, Mrs Lordina Mahama, I bring you warm greetings and congratulations to the Women’s Ministry,” she added, extending regards from the First Family to the congregation.

Hon. Nana Oye encouraged the women with Hebrews 11:1, explaining that the verse offers more than theology—it is “a survival guide for the modern woman navigating family pressures, health challenges, caregiving, church commitments, and a rapidly changing world. Faith is the anchor when the storm won’t stop.”
She highlighted biblical examples such as Deborah and Hannah—women of faith who made lasting impacts in their generations.

Rev. Mrs Gladys Abu-Baba, National Director of the Women’s Ministry and Special Guest of Honour, urged the women to remain steadfast in faith and trust in God’s promises.
“Mothers who pray at dawn, grandmothers who hold onto God’s promises, women who refuse to give up, even in hardship like Hannah, will never be put to shame,” she said.

After the event, Hon. Nana Oye Bampoe Addo led a delegation from the Lordina Foundation to commission a refurbished female washroom, donated by Mrs Mahama as a gift to the Women’s Ministry during the celebrations.

The upgraded facility features four new water closets, three handwash basins, an air conditioner, mirrors, and other accessories.

Hon. Nana Oye noted that the improvements would ensure women find comfort whenever they visit the church.

Women’s Ministry leaders, including National Director Rev. Mrs Gladys Abu-Baba, Rev. Mrs Grace Tettey (wife of the Resident Pastor), and their team, expressed deep gratitude to Mrs Mahama and the Lordina Foundation.
