Sammy Gyamfi did no wrong; haters are just hurt – Francis-Xavier Sosu

-

Madina Member of Parliament (MP), Francis-Xavier Sosu, has mounted a spirited defence of the Acting CEO of the Ghana Gold Board (Goldbod), Sammy Gyamfi, amid criticism over a dollar gift to televangelist Patricia Oduro Koranteng, popularly known as Nana Agradaa.

In a post on Facebook, Mr. Sosu argued that the National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) committed no crime.

According to him, Mr. Gyamfi’s critics are only upset because they never imagined his elevation could become a blessing to others.

The lawmaker, who is also a human rights lawyer, encouraged Sammy Gyamfi to stay focused in the wake of calls for punitive action against him.

“It is well. You committed no crime. The haters are hurt. They can’t believe that God can lift and bless you such that you can become a blessing unto others. Leave them – let them do their worst. We got you. God has your back. Stay focused and blessed,” Mr. Sosu wrote.

Meanwhile, although Mr. Gyamfi has apologised for the gesture, he has been summoned by the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah.
