Outspoken sports presenter, Patrick Osei Agyemang put President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in a tight corner when he asked him about the fate of Black Stars coach, James Kwesi Appiah.

Countryman Songo, as he is popularly called, at the Meet-the-Press at the Jubilee House on Friday asked the President whether he backs a contract extension for Black Stars coach James Kwasi Appiah or not.

President Akufo-Addo in response said:
“I think this is a difficult question. If I says ‘yes’, then it will create something else and if I say ‘no’, then there is no way they (the Football Administration, Ministry) can act otherwise. So, I will stay away from such matters.”

The President said the new Ghana Football Association administration as well as the Sports Minister will make the right decision for Ghana in due time.
