President Akuffo-Addo Addo has promised the completion of the over 40-year old Maternity block at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Work on the 996 capacity mother and child block has stalled as successive governments fail to complete the project.

President Akuffo-Addo tells the Asantehene he wants to make a mark for himself by completing the abandoned project.
President Akuffo-Addo who gave the assurance is also promising the Ashanti region of its fair share of development on day one of a 4-day -day working visit to the Ashanti region.
He told the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, whom he paid a courtesy call on that he will complete the project to make a mark for himself.
The President said he is in search of funds for the 1000-bed project and asked the Asantehene to prepare as he may need his help in that venture.
He also promised to give the Ashanti region its fair share of development and debunked suggestions that he had ignored the region.
