Ghanaian-South African singer, Adina Thembi Ndamse at Hitz 103.9 FM

Singer Adina says she never thought she would bag five nominations in this year’s 3 Music Awards.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, the ‘Makoma’ composer said the nominations came to her as a surprise.

Adina was nominated in the ‘Collaboration of the Year’, ‘Music Woman of the Year’, ‘Song of the Year,’ ‘Highlife song of the Year’ and ‘Highlife act of the Year’ categories, all with her song featuring singer Kuami Eugene, ‘Killing Me Softly.’

She lauded the organisers of the event for their programme line-up and attractions that would forever linger in the minds of patrons who would mark their calendars to attend.

Adina revealed that all performers have their stagecraft scripted, something she had barely experienced since her music career took off.

She said, “five nominations! this is beyond me. I like how they are putting things together. And they sent us scripts depicting how our performances would go. I know it would be a wonderful night for the organisers and fans.”

3 Music Awards is set to take place tomorrow March 30, 2019 at the Fantasy Dome at the Trade Fair Centre, which accommodates in excess of 20,000 people.

With the huge success chalked at the maiden edition, organisers of the award show are promising off the roof performances.
