The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has approved 14 venues for use in the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League after completing inspections and clearance through its Club Licensing Department.

The approved list, released on 17 August 2026, includes some of the country’s major football stadiums as clubs prepare for the start of the new league campaign.

Among the venues cleared to host Premier League matches are the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale, Accra Sports Stadium, University of Ghana Sports Stadium, Duns Park in Bibiani, Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Sambreboi and the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa.

The list also includes Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in Bechem, AAK II Sports Arena, Tuba Astro Turf, Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, Golden City Park in Berekum, Nana Boamah Darko II Park in Kukurantumi and Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.

However, several clubs are still waiting for their proposed home grounds to receive clearance.

Aduana FC’s Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa is not among the approved venues, leaving the club needing further clearance or an alternative home ground if approval is not secured before the season begins.

Young Apostles face a similar situation, with the Wenchi Sports Stadium absent from the approved list.

Newly promoted All Blacks are also awaiting approval for their proposed venue in Swedru, while Vision FC’s Nii Adjei Kraku II venue has yet to be cleared.

The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League is scheduled to begin between 4 and 7 September, with 18 clubs set to compete in a 30-week campaign.

The season is expected to conclude between 28 and 31 May 2027.

The GFA has also confirmed that midweek matchdays will be used exclusively to accommodate outstanding fixtures, a measure aimed at maintaining an organised and balanced league calendar.

Clubs whose home venues remain unapproved will therefore be under pressure to secure clearance or make alternative arrangements before the opening weekend.
