Canadian singer, actress and record producer, Deborah Cox has arrived in Ghana ahead of this weekend’s mega packed show, Ghana World Music Festival 2019.

The singer, who was born and raised in Toronto, was full of excitement after her flight landed at the Kotoka International Airport, Terminal 3, where she was welcomed by the Multimedia crew, as well as fans and other members in the media fraternity. 

In an interview with JoyNews, she said she was elated to touch down on an African soil this year to recognise the Year of Return celebrations aside her core functions in the country. 

The ‘Sentimental’ hitmaker, who began performing on television commercials at age 12, urged fans to brace themselves for an electrifying show. 

The festival will feature artistes from Ghana, across the African continent, the Caribbean and the United States.

On the bill to perform are Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artistes, Samini and Jupiter; Gasmilla, singer Lamisi and music maestro Kojo Antwi.

Jamaican reggae band, Third World; Canadian Grammy award-winning RnB songstress, Deborah Cox; Jamaican Jazz and reggae artiste, Ernie Smith and Jazz artiste Irvin Mayfield among others would grace the occasion. 

The tickets go for Regular GH₵ 80, VIP GH₵ 150 and VVIP GH₵ 450. Early bird tickets are sold out.
