Zeepay Ghana Limited has assured customers and stakeholders that it is working closely with the Bank of Ghana to ensure an orderly transition following the revocation of its Dedicated Electronic Money Issuer Licence, which covered the company’s mobile money wallet operations.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, the company said it is collaborating with the Regulator and all relevant stakeholders to guarantee an orderly, transparent, and responsible approach following the licence revocation.

“Further to the recent announcement by the Bank of Ghana, we wish to inform the general public that Zeepay Ghana Limited is working closely with the Regulator and all relevant stakeholders to ensure an orderly, transparent and responsible approach following the revocation of the Company’s Dedicated Electronic Money Issuer Licence (Mobile Money Wallets),” the statement noted.

The company acknowledged the concerns the development may raise among its customers, employees, agents, and merchants, and appealed for patience as it navigates the process, saying it remains committed to supporting all stakeholders throughout.

Zeepay Ghana Limited pledged to maintain open and transparent communication going forward, stressing that it would continue working constructively with the Bank of Ghana and other relevant stakeholders towards a resolution. It added that any further verified updates would be communicated exclusively through its official communication channels.

The statement comes as customers and industry watchers await clarity on what the revocation means for existing mobile money wallet balances, agent operations, and the company’s broader service offerings in Ghana’s financial technology space.
