In a significant effort to enhance educational resources in the Kadjebi-Akan District of the Oti Region, the Kadjebi Area Programme of World Vision has donated a variety of learning materials to the Ghana Education Service (GES).
This initiative aims to support schools and improve the learning environment for students in the district.
The donation ceremony, held at the World Vision office in Kadjebi, was attended by key stakeholders, including Eric Opoku, the Cluster Manager of the Kadjebi-Agortime Area Programme, and Dotse Abogbotsi Alex, the Chief Inspector of Schools.
Their presence underscored the importance of collaboration between non-governmental organisations and educational authorities in fostering quality education.
During the handover event, Cluster Manager Eric Opoku expressed the organisation’s commitment to supporting education in the Kadjebi area.
He emphasized that the donated materials, which include textbooks, stationery, and other essential learning tools, are crucial for enhancing the educational experience of students.
“Education is the foundation for a brighter future, and we believe that providing these resources will empower both teachers and students to achieve their full potential,” Opoku stated.
Mr. Dotse acknowledged the generous contribution from World Vision in his remarks and highlighted the pressing need for such support in the district.
He noted that many schools in Kadjebi face challenges due to a lack of adequate learning materials, which can hinder students’ academic performance.
“This donation will go a long way in bridging the gap and ensuring that our students have access to the resources they need to succeed,” he said.
The partnership between World Vision and GES exemplifies a shared commitment to improving education in the Kadjebi District.
