It has emerged that, the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency has settled on a woman to replace the late Member of Parliament, Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko.

Former Youth Organizer for the constituency, Kojo Yeboah who disclosed this said executives settled on the candidate who they believe is a unifier to led them to victory in the 2020 elections.

Mr Yeboah said they have decided to remain silent on the issue because the late MP has not been given a befitting burial yet.

According to him, Ghanaians will get to know the party’s choice when the dust settles.

“I can assure you that after several weeks of deliberations, constituency executives have arrived on a woman. I would love to mention the name but have remained silent on the name because our late MP is yet to be buried but trust me, that person is the accepted candidate by rank and file of the great elephant’s party” he said on Accra based Neat FM monitored by Adomonline.com.

He stated that, the lady in question is aware and has accepted to take up the challenge.

Even before the late MP is laid to rest, people are jostling to replace the late him.

Already, different groups have emerged with posters of their preferred candidates including wives of the late Agyarko – an allegation both have denied.

Party officials reportedly refused to entertain the group and refused to receive their petition insisting that until the MP is buried, no faction will be entertained.
