Police have said “enough is enough” and have banned a woman from “urinating or defecating” in any open space following a string of convictions over the course of 30 years.

Amanda Lee, of Crewe, has a total of 15 convictions from 1996 to 2018 including anti-social behaviour, harassment, public order offences and abusing the 999 system.

In a bid to stop the 50-year-old’s criminal activity, police applied for a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) which was granted by Crewe Magistrates’ Court on Monday, CheshireLive reports.

The CBO now prevents Lee from doing five things in the town.

She can’t be in possession of alcohol within the exclusion zone, is banned from using abusive language or threatening behaviour in a public place and using a dog to threaten or intimidate people.

Lee is also prohibited from contacting police on 999 or 101 or by any means – unless she has a genuine reason for doing so.

Finally, she is banned from “urinating or defecating in any open space, public or private”.

Police Constable Alex Barker, of the Crewe Beat Management Team, said: “A Criminal Behaviour Order is sought once all reasonable avenues have been explored regarding persistent offenders.

“In this case, Lee’s attitude and behaviour have been ongoing since the 1990s and she has been convicted numerous times for incidents that impact greatly on residents.

“She has persistently shown no consideration at all for the actions her offending behaviour has had on others.

“There comes a point when you have to say enough is enough and take additional action to protect the community and businesses in the area.”

It is a criminal offence to breach a CBO with the maximum penalty being a five-year prison sentence.

Anyone who encounters Lee breaching the terms of her CBO is asked to report it to Cheshire Constabulary by calling 101.
