Berekum Chelsea head coach Samuel Boadu has expressed his frustration after his side suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at home to Hearts of Oak in their Matchday 31 clash on Sunday.
The game, held at the Golden City Park, was decided by a 56th-minute strike from Mawuli Wayo, securing all three points for the visitors.
Speaking to the media after the match, Boadu stated, “The result is not the true reflection of the match. It is quite unfortunate, and we are very disappointed with this result.”
He criticised the nature of the goal his team conceded, saying, “The goal we conceded is unpardonable. It’s football—there is nothing that we can do. We did our best to come back, but it didn’t happen. We’ve realised our mistakes and will go back and work on them.”
Following the defeat, Berekum Chelsea remain 11th on the Ghana Premier League table with 41 points.
They will aim to bounce back when they face Dreams FC in their Matchday 32 fixture at the Tuba AstroTurf this weekend.
