Vision FC made an impressive start to the 2026-27 Ghana Premier League season with a 3-0 victory over Young Apostles as the new campaign got under way on Saturday.
Setsofia Aqetey scored twice after Naziru Alhassan Nyenye’s early opener to hand the hosts a comfortable win and send them provisionally to the top of the table.
Vision took the lead after just four minutes when Nyenye found the net, giving the home side an ideal start in front of their supporters.
Young Apostles struggled to recover as Vision controlled much of the first half, and Aqetey doubled the advantage in the 40th minute to leave the visitors facing an uphill task before the break.
The hosts maintained their intensity after the restart, despite Alidu Labaran being booked in the 55th minute as the contest became more physical.
Aqetey wrapped up the victory with his second goal of the afternoon, completing a dominant performance and sealing all three points.
The result leaves Vision FC at the top of the standings, with the rest of the opening-round fixtures set to be played on Sunday.
