There was solemn mood at Asante Mampong as family members and sympathizers gathered to send Lance Corporal Asare, the police officer who was allegedly shot and killed by unknown assailants, to his maker.
Lance Corporal Alhasan Asare was found dead whiles on duty at a filling station at Akyem Swedru in the Eastern Region.
The fallen officer’s body was paraded through the streets of Asante-Mampong before his journey to a final resting place.

The late Lance Corporal left behind a wife and two children by the wife, family and the Ghana Police Service.
Lance Corporal Asare whose death is yet to be unravelled was found dead in a chair with bullet wounds and his rifle between his thighs while on a bank duty on August 20, 2019.
