It’s not easy for stars to throw their light on others to make them shine but rapper Medikal has promised to recruit five rappers from Adom FM’s Kasahari level weekend rap show.

After winning Best Rapper of the Year and Hip-Hop song of the Year awards at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), Medikal thinks it would be just right that he puts the careers of up-and-coming acts on the pedestal.

He told Dr Pounds that, because Adom FM paved way for his career, he has decided to help rappers who come on the ‘Kasahari’ show to pay back in kind.

“I want to help five rappers on the ‘Kasahari’ show. Criss Waddle brought me on this show and I got some fan base when I was up- and-coming,” he said on the show last weekend.

Detailing how he plans to help them, he said: “I will do verses for the best five guys on their songs and also do one song and put five of them on it.”

One rapper who did a similar gesture in Ghana was rapper Sarkodie, who put 10 rappers on the spot on his ‘Biibi Ba’ song that made waves in the country.
