The police officer was said to be battling for his life after he and a colleague were shot by suspected robbers at Kasoa Budumburam has died.
A police source has confirmed the officer’s death to Adom News.
The two slain officers were said to have given their attackers a chase when they opened fire on them killing one on the spot.
The second officer who was said to be in a critical condition at the time of the shooting died hours after the incidence.
Meanwhile, the Kasoa police have arrested three people suspected to be behind the shooting and will be briefing the media in due course.
Adom News reporter, Seth Kofi Adjei who has been following the incidence has reported that there is chaos at the Kasoa Police Station where the suspects are being held as angry residents are demanding that the suspects are released to them for instant justice.
