Some gospel musicians in the country have taken on their fellow gospel musician, Brother Sammy, for disgracing the name of God.
The musicians speaking on Adom FM’s Drive Time Show, ‘Ofiekwanso’ on Tuesday expressed disappointment in the controversial musician for releasing what many have termed as the most ‘stupid gospel song to have ever been sung by a musician’.
The gospel musicians who were led by Noble Nketia and OJ, demanded that Brother Sammy apologise to Ghanaians especially Christians for ‘disgracing the name of Christ’

“Sammy must come and apologise because it is inappropriate to call a creature of God foolish…we are in a serious business and hence we must act according to the lyrics of the songs we sing…,” OJ said.
“No serious man of God, OJ said, will want to invite him to minister because the Pastor cannot be guaranteed of what you will say when singing.”

Brother Sammy has come under pressure for releasing a song that describe his perceived enemies with various unprinted words.
It is rumoured that the song is targeted at gospel musician turned prophetess, Cecilia Marfo who is alleged to have slapped Brother Sammy in the face during a deliverance service in her church.
But the lyrics of the song has been roundly condemned by most Ghanaians.

Ace Gospel musician, Noble Nketia who was also on the show expressed disappointment in the lyrics of the song describing as a below the belt song.
“I used to listen to the likes of Daughters of Glorious Jesus and Mary Ghansah, their songs inspired some of us because they sang to glorify God…how can you describe someone as a foolish creation and still want to evangelise to the same person?” he quizzed.
To him, Brother Sammy was in a way making mockery of Christianity.
“Brother Sammy is mocking Christianity and that will lead many to dislike the faith…we ought to ensure that the lyrics of our songs inspired people and draw them closer to God…,” Nketia added.
Jack Alolome, another known Gospel Musician also called on Brother to wake up to the reality that he was an ambassador who was on a mission to win souls for God.
“Sammy Tuga (Brother Sammy) called me and said by the Grace of God, the song is trending paa…we are not the likes of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy,” he said.

  1. I have always said that bro Sammy is not a gospel musician but one so called man of God said he will show me as he did to Yaw Sarpong. Hmmm Ghana

  2. I strongly condemn the song as a Christian having listened to it. My position on this Matter is very simple.
Bro. Sammy shouldn’t release the song for the public. Gospel songs are not sung to insult people’s integrity, personality, intelligence or so ever.
    Bro.Sammy should come again.
This is disgusting, uncalled for, absurd & barbaric.

  3. And again what is a gospel musician like Joyce blessing doing with xylophone media? Look at what she had brought out shame to u all we know where you are coming from paa give us a break.

  4. Sammy Tuga should come out and apologise to all Christians in the country. That’s all what he needs to do. Perhaps he didn’t know what he was singing.
