Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu, Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini, has debunked claims that appointees of the erstwhile Mahama administration received double salaries and were willing to refund the extras to the state.
According to the reports, some 22 ministers under the erstwhile Mahama administration were taking double salaries.

The information indicates that the ministers, who were Members of Parliament (MPs), were drawing salaries as MPs and at the same time receiving their monthly salaries as ministers, contrary to the law.
Some of the ministers involved are said to have agreed to refund the monies back to the state when they were confronted by security agents.
The alleged scandal, report claimed, started sometime in 2012.

But commenting on the development, on Asempa FM’s Eksosii Sen Tuesday, A.B.A Fuseini said the government was only using them as scapegoats to prevent them from criticizing the Akufo-Addo administration.
Alhaji Fuseini noted that the said publication can only be a figment of the imagination of a Government that continues to betray the trust of the people.

“No salaries were made to former ministers; rather, the minority has outstanding monies to take from government. They are only using us as scapegoats and to divert attention from important issues”, he said.
