Ghana’s Black Maidens have been drawn into a challenging Group C for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, where they will face Canada, Brazil and Norway in the tournament to be staged in Morocco.

The draw presents a stern test for the two-time African finalists as they prepare to represent Ghana on the global stage following a successful qualification campaign.

The Black Maidens booked their place at the World Cup after edging Senegal in a dramatic penalty shootout in the final round of the African qualifiers.

The victory sealed Ghana’s return to the competition after missing the previous two editions.

With three formidable opponents awaiting them in the group stage, head coach Joe Nana Adarkwa and his squad will be aiming to make a strong impression and progress beyond the opening round.

Ghana boasts an impressive pedigree at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, having featured regularly since the tournament’s inception and producing several talented players who have gone on to represent the country at senior level.
