Two persons have been arrested by the Police at Osenase in the Eastern Region for illegal possession of narcotic drugs.

Twenty-five year old Foster Agyei and Ismael Annor, 28, were arrested last Friday carrying 14 wrappers of dried substances suspected to be Indian hemp (wee).

The Police also found two tablets of the prescribed-only drug, tramadol at the scene.

The Police at Akwatia is set to arraign them today on charges of possessing narcotic drugs without authority.

According to the Eastern Regional Police Command, at about 7:30pm on July 22, the Police at Osenase received a call that a group of people had gathered at the back of the Seventh Day Adventist Church dealing in narcotic drugs.

Personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene where the two suspects were arrested.

Agyei, according to the Police, had six wrappers of the substance while Annor had eight wrappers.
