The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has forecast predominantly cloudy conditions across most parts of the country this evening, with thunderstorms and rainfall of varying intensities expected in parts of the middle, transition and northern sectors.

In its weather forecast, the Agency said a few inland areas of the coast could also experience rainfall as cloudy conditions prevail across the country.

The areas expected to experience thunderstorms or rain include Ho, Koforidua, Akim Oda, Kwahu Tafo, Kumasi, Obuasi, Tarkwa, Sefwi Bekwai, Kete Krachi, Atebubu, Ejura and Kintampo.

In the Northern regions, areas including Sampa, Bole, Bolgatanga and Wa are likely to experience thunderstorms of varying intensities.

GMet also indicated that Accra, Kasoa and their surrounding communities could experience rainfall during the night. Dark, cloudy skies are expected to persist in these areas through the night and into the following morning.

The Agency further forecast the development of mist and fog patches early Thursday morning over forested and mountainous areas, a condition that could lead to reduced visibility.

However, the state of the sea remains calm.
