A three-month-old baby has died, while several others have sustained injuries in a head-on collision on the Bompata-Wenchi road in the Asante Akyem South Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
According to Assembly Member Doris Appiah, the crash involved a Hyundai vehicle travelling from Adomfe to Konongo and a bus travelling from Accra to Kumasi.
She told Adom News that the bus allegedly veered into the opposite lane while overtaking, resulting in the collision.
Four of the injured passengers are reportedly in critical condition and have been transferred to different hospitals for further treatment.
Other victims are receiving medical attention at the Juaso Government Hospital.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are still being investigated.
