Three people sustained injuries after timber logs fell from an overturned truck onto two vehicles along the New Road in the Oforikrom Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
The incident occurred when the truck, which was transporting timber logs, reportedly lost control while attempting to avoid a faulty waste tricycle that had been left stationary on the outer lane of the road.
The truck overturned in the process, spilling its load onto the two vehicles.

Three occupants of the affected vehicles sustained various degrees of injury, while four other people escaped unhurt.
The crash blocked the main Anloga New Road leading to the Asokwa Interchange, causing heavy traffic congestion during the rush hour.
At the time of filing this report, the overturned truck, damaged vehicles and scattered timber logs had not yet been removed from the roadway, leaving traffic at a standstill on the busy stretch.
Police officers and other emergency responders were at the scene managing traffic and coordinating efforts to clear the road.
