How to be a generous and thoughtful partner to your lover

Relationships take effort from both sides. A loving and healthy relationship is what most of you wish to have. And just like nothing comes easy, this one doesn’t either. If you wish to get a partner who’s caring, loving, generous and thoughtful, learn to be that first. It’s true that being thoughtful and generous in a relationship doesn’t come naturally to everybody. Hence, we thought of putting together a list of things that you can start practicing which can enhance the quality of your relationship with your partner and make you more thoughtful and generous towards him or her.

02/6Pay compliments

It only takes so much to shower good words on your partner. Everyone likes to get a compliment or two when they have put in extra effort or walked the extra mile to make someone feel special. But, a random compliment to your partner when they aren’t expecting one, only shows how kind and respectful you are towards them.

03/6Hold hands

This is one of the least intimate physical gestures and the most adorable thing to practice in your relationship. It shows love, care and security towards your partner. They will start to love taking walks with you every single time knowing you are going to hold their hand each time.

04/6Surprise

A healthy relationship is happier when there are surprises involved. There will be times when the relationship might start to get dull and boring. This is why there are surprises. They keep the spark alive. Give your partner a surprise every once in a while and you will always be showered with more and more love from them. It doesn’t mean it has to be fancy each time. You can surprise them with smaller details too.

05/6Listen

One of the most generous and thoughtful things to do in a relationship is to listen. Whenever your partner talks to you, listen to them very carefully and make them realize they are heard. You’ll remember the little details and they will feel important in the relationship.

06/6Coffee mornings

If you both have separate busy lives with your hectic jobs, try and start your mornings together with a cup of coffee or tea. This will give you both some quality time to spend together and it will soon become the most favourite part of your day to love forward to.
