Actress and fashion guru Nana Akua Addo has broken her silence over the domestic violence videos circulating on social media, saying the footage was leaked without her knowledge or consent.
In a statement dated October 6, 2026, she said, through her lawyers, that she did not authorize the release of the videos, which saw her and her children involved in an alleged domestic dispute.
Contrary to any suggestion that she deliberately released the footage herself, she stated vehemently that the videos and photos were leaked.
She said the circulation of the footage has raised serious privacy concerns, particularly because some of the videos reportedly show one of her minor children.
She has therefore appealed to media houses to refrain from publishing, reproducing or sharing the videos, to safeguard the privacy and wellbeing of the family.
Nana Akua Addo described the situation as a deeply sensitive matter, adding that the family is already dealing with the trauma surrounding the incident.
She also disclosed that the matter is currently before the appropriate authorities and is sub judice, and urged the public to allow the relevant processes to take their course.
She expressed appreciation to the Ghana Police Service for its timely intervention and said it was confident in the ability of the courts to address domestic violence matters.
Nana Akua Addo said she would address the issues surrounding the videos and the domestic dispute at the appropriate time.
