The Minority in Parliament has reacted to the suspension of sitting in parliament on Tuesday November 19, 2019 over absenteeism.

According to the Minority, the people of Ghana deserves better and expects that the Majority side takes government business serious and commits itself to the mandate for which they have been elected.

In a statement signed by the Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu, the Minority said New Patriotic Party Members of Parliament were absent at the commencement of the day’s business which compelled the Rt Hon Speaker of Parliament to suspend the sitting for an hour.
