Mr Emmanuel Kofi Nti, the Commissioner General of the Ghana Revenue Authority

Commissioner General of Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Mr Emmanuel Kofi Nti, has revealed that the outfit will aggressively go after tax invaders in Ghana very soon.

According to Mr Nti, the Authority has vowed to meet its annual target for the 2019 working year and because this is the only way it can meet the target, it will not take it easy with tax evaders.

The Commissioner General revealed this when speaking at the launch of the Integrated Tax Application Software, an app to enable taxpayers apply for tax documents and also file their returns online.

“We will go all out to income earners who have refused to pay tax and the legal department has also be mandated to prosecute defaulters,” he stated.

Mr Nti explained that the new online app follows a task given by the Vice President, Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia in 2018 for the Authority to develop an app to help people file their returns anywhere without going to GRA offices.

He, therefore, asked the Vice President to continue challenging the GRA and they will live to his expectation.

Dr Bawumia lauded the Commissioner General for taking up the challenge and leaving up to expectation and developing such app for tax payers to file their returns online.
