Sarkodie’s manager, Angel Town, has responded to Stonebwoy’s claims that the rapper’s camp reached out for a possible collaboration and joint performance.
Stonebwoy, in a series of posts on X amid his ongoing back-and-forth with Sarkodie, suggested that he had not been the one seeking to work with the rapper or perform alongside him, stressing that Sarkodie was the one who had made the calls.
“What could you possibly owe me. When you’re the one who calls me as you have clearly indicated,” Stonebwoy wrote.
He recalled an instance during his BHIM Fest when Angel reportedly contacted his manager, Chief Stylzz, about Sarkodie’s team coming through.
“Doing shows together has never been a problem irrespective of who called. My last BHIMFEST at the stadium Angel called chief that y’all wanted to come through I didn’t disagree,” Stonebwoy said.
Angel has now stepped into the conversation, debunking Stonebwoy’s claims.
Acknowledging he would have no problem reaching out to Stonebwoy’s team when necessary, he insisted that the facts surrounding the particular engagement should not be misrepresented.
“Only because my name has actually been mentioned now let me just do the needful and set the record straight… I’ll reach out any day regardless if need be, I don’t mind that at all but in this context just state facts… don’t lie on my name,” he said.
To support his position, Angel shared screenshots of a private WhatsApp conversation between himself and Chief Stylzz.
The messages show Stonebwoy’s team initiating the conversation about possible dates, and whether the two artistes could work together.
Angel’s response comes as the disagreement between Sarkodie and Stonebwoy continues to spill into discussions about their professional relationship and who has made efforts to maintain ties between their respective camps.
