First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Joseph Osei Owusu is advising Ghanaians to exercise patience with the police administration and the Attorney General in the trial of the suspects involved in the killing of the late Captain Maxwell Mahama at Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central region.

According to him, it is better for the Attorney General’s office to get enough evidence for a successful trial as expected by all Ghanaians.

Osei-Owusu who is also MP for Bekwai was contributing to a statement on the floor on the murder of the late Captain Mahama.

Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu says Ghana will become a state of insecurity if the police and the AG fail in ensuring justice in the matter.

He added that President Akufo-Addo should punish the DCE of Denkyira-Obuasi, Daniel Appianin over his comment.

Haruna Iddrisu also called on the Ministry of Communication and the National Information Technology (NIT) must immediately block videos and pictures circulation on facebook to safe the family from future trauma.

On his part, Majority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu proposed that a statue should be erected in memory of the late Captain Mahama to put an end to lynching and his contributions to the state.
