Embattled social media personality and staunch Shatta Movement fan, Webkid, has been granted bail of GH¢100,000 with two sureties by the Accra High Court, following his arrest over alleged cyberbullying-related offences.

His legal counsel confirmed that efforts are currently underway to complete the necessary documentation to secure his release later today.

Webkid was reportedly arrested on 7th May 2026 after Stonebwoy made an official complaint against him.

The case, which has generated significant public attention within Ghana’s entertainment and social media space, is said to stem from a series of online publications deemed by authorities as cyberbullying content.

In the writ he is accused of receiving money to make claim challenging the paternity of Stonebwoy’s children, as well as other cyber-related content against the musician and his family.

Webkid, who appeared in court for today’s proceedings, maintained a defiant but emotional tone as he was escorted into the courtroom.

In a brief remark, he urged supporters not to be discouraged by his legal troubles, declaring: “God is here, don’t let this dampen your spirit, always be a Shatta fan.”

Tensions rose further at the courthouse as emotional scenes unfolded, with Webkid’s father breaking down in tears after the court granted bail.

Court proceedings are expected to continue as the legal process unfolds, with further details yet to be disclosed regarding the full charges and evidence being examined.
