A public endorsement from Akuapem North Member of Parliament (MP) Sammi Awuku, Esq., has added a fresh momentum to conversations about journalist Samuel Kojo Brace’s possible entry into active politics.
On Asempa FM Ekosii Sen, Mr. Awuku sent a text message expressing his admiration for Mr. Brace, popularly known as Ahanta Pele and suggested that he could make a fine politician.
“OB, tell Kojo Brace he will be a fine politician, should he decide to join politics,” the host Philip Osei Bonsu, read.
This was when Mr. Brace was discussing “A Walk with The Ahanta Pele,” which was held over the weekend in Agona Nkwanta, Ahanta West, drawing scores of participants.
The event featured a workout routine, including aerobics, as part of activities aimed at promoting physical fitness, community engagement, and a healthy lifestyle.
Samuel Kojo Brace was born in Agona Nkwanta in the Ahanta West Municipality and received his early education in the municipality.
He had his basic education at Unity Academy in Ewusiejoe before proceeding to Baidoo Bonsoe Senior High Technical School in the municipal capital. He subsequently attended the University of Cape Coast, where he developed a strong interest in journalism.
Over the years, Samuel Kojo Brace has built a strong public profile through journalism and advocacy.
As a journalist, he is known for speaking the Ahanta language when he appears on programmes, a practice that has earned him admiration among many natives and strengthened his reputation as someone who identifies closely with their culture, interests, and aspirations.
Beyond his work in the media, he has undertaken advocacy on issues affecting the Ahanta people and has used his public platform to promote their interests and culture over the years.
