A fuel tanker overturned at Teacher Mante in the Eastern Region on Thursday, November 6, 2025, spilling petroleum products and attracting large crowds of residents who rushed to scoop the leaking fuel despite the obvious danger.
According to Accra-based Citin News, the tanker lost control and tipped onto its side, prompting some residents to approach the scene with containers to collect the fuel.
Residents have since raised concerns about the high risk of an explosion and are urging the Ghana National Fire Service and police to cordon off the area and prevent a potential disaster.
No casualties have been reported so far.
