A nephew to 50-year-old man, Kwao Tetteh, who was murdered at Zutsokpo, a village near Prampram in the Greater Accra region has been arrested.

The suspect, Ali Kofi Serwornu, was picked up by the police in connection with his uncle, Kwao Tetteh; wife, Delali Tetteh and their three-year-old child were allegedly shot and burnt to death Saturday evening.

Reports suggest the family of three had gone to fetch water when they were ambushed and killed.

Their Nissan Pickup with registration number, GW 8970-V was set ablaze in the process.

Adom News’ Isabella Gidiglo who was at the crime scene reported that the family of the deceased are shocked at the arrest of Serwornu.

She said the police suspect the killings may have been as a result of a protracted land dispute in the area.

The news of the family’s murder, according to Isabella, has put residents in Zutsokpo, Tsopoli and Prampram in fear.

Meanwhile, brother of the deceased, Teye Kutey Serwornu Apenteng, has appealed to the police to ensure justice is served.
