The Ghana Police Service has interdicted an officer who was allegedly involved in a demolition exercise at the Accra Race Course at Borteyman on Saturday, 22nd August 2026.
The police administration, in a statement signed by the Director General of Public Affairs, DCOP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, revealed that DSP Alhassan Malaika Jibril’s interdiction is to facilitate investigations into circumstances surrounding the incident.
The statement added that matter was being investigated by the Criminal Investigations Department (C.I.D.) and the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) “and anyone found culpable will be taken through the due process of the law.”
