Four students of Ada Senior High Technical School have been arrested after a video showing a student brandishing a cutlass and threatening colleagues on campus went viral on social media.
According to a statement from the Tema Regional Police Command, the footage came to the attention of officers at around 12:10 a.m. on May 22, 2026, prompting the immediate deployment of a night patrol team to the school.
With support from school authorities, police arrested Raymond Gyamfi, Oscar Amemoair, and Odartey Wilson, all aged 18, along with a juvenile — all of whom were identified in the video. The four are currently in custody and assisting with investigations.
The Command urged students to resolve disagreements through established school structures rather than resorting to violence or intimidation, and called on parents and school authorities to strengthen supervision and discipline to help maintain safety on campuses.
“The Command assures the public that investigations are ongoing and further developments will be communicated in due course,” the statement said.
