Fire has gutted the pharmacy of Walewale hospital in the West Mamprusi District of the Northern Region.

The fire, which reportedly started at about 10:00 am, destroyed drugs, tables and other valuable items in the pharmacy.

Adom News’ Illiasu Abdul Rauf reported that drugs worth thousands of cedis were destroyed by the blaze with many patients running for their lives.

No death has been recorded.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

Illiasu Abdul Rauf said of the fire service led by the Regional spokesperson for Ghana National Fire Service, ADO1 Opokoo Aikins arrived at the scene to douse the flames.
