Three suspected thieves were arrested Friday at Kokomlemle near Joy FM for duping a man with a fake Samsung mobile phone.
According to reports, the boys sold the fake phone for them an at GHC200 and quickly bolted.

An eyewitness who spoke to Adom News said the suspects robbed the victim at Fidelity Bank in Accra and tried to escape in a Daewoo taxi car with registration number GW 7556 – 15.

The man who later found out he had been duped raised an alarm and drew the attention of people around who gave the thieves a hot chase leading to their arrest.

A police officer who was on duty at Union Bank at Kokomlemle assisted the angry youth to arrest the suspects.

One of the robbers managed to escape but was later arrested by residents and handed over to police at Kotobabi.

One of the suspected thieves told Adom News’ Kwame Kulenu who was at the scene that they have been forced to steal for lack of jobs.
Meanwhile, the man who was duped was nowhere to be found to write his statement.
