A 28-year-old farmer has been attacked by some armed men at Ahemadiya farm at Dromankesse in the Nkoranza North District of Brong Ahafo Region.

The victim, Djato Mohammed, was hired to clear a portion of land belonging to the Ahamadiya Muslims Mission Ghana when the incident happened.

An eyewitness who is also the caretaker of the land, Ibrahim Owusu Asante narrating the incident to Adom News said Djato Mohammed was on the farm around 10:00 am on Tuesday when some men numbering about ten and on motorbikes stormed the farm.

He said the man who wielded cutlasses and guns approached the victim and warned him to stay off the land because they have been ordered by the chief of the Dromankesse, Nana Danso Abeam to sack him from the farm.

The victim, who refused to heed the demands of the men was dragged on the floor and beaten mercilessly.

Ibrahim Owusu said the armed men subjected the man to beatings and also inflicting cutlass wounds on him.

The eyewitness added that the men, after the attack, made away with GHC 1,250.00 meant to pay the victim and some other labourers working on the farm.

The matter has since been reported to the Nkoranza police command for further investigations.
