Oye Lithur says she will file her bid to become a Parliamentary Candidate for the Adentan Constituency

Former Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection under the erstwhile John Mahama administration, Nana Oye Lithur, has revealed plans to contest the Adentan constituency parliamentary seat in the 2020 general election.

The former minister made her declaration in a Facebook post when she shared a picture of her with former president Mahama.

“Today I paid a courtesy call on His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, Former President of our dear country, and my former boss to officially inform him of my intentions and to solicit his counsel.

“Following consultations, I have taken a resolute decision to offer myself as a willing and able candidate for the Adentan parliamentary seat on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress,” the post stated.

According to Madam Lithur, Mr Mahama welcomed her decision and acknowledged the need to elect strong, opinionated candidates who will appeal to the general electorate during the 2020 elections.
