One person has sustained injuries after a Kia Rhino truck loaded with animal feed overturned at Omenako on the Accra–Kumasi Highway.
The accident occurred on Tuesday, July 7, after the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle while attempting to avoid an unidentified fuel tanker that was allegedly overtaking dangerously.
The truck veered off the road and overturned, damaging the vehicle and part of its cargo.
Firefighters from the Suhum Municipal Fire Station responded to the scene and conducted a thorough search to ensure that no occupants were trapped in the wreckage.
The injured victim received assistance, while emergency personnel secured the accident scene to prevent further danger to motorists.
The fuel tanker involved in the incident reportedly left the scene, and its identity remains unknown. Authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
