Former Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey has expressed confidence that Otto Addo and his technical team will make a strong impact at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
After more than two decades of missing out on the Africa Cup of Nations, Addo guided the Black Stars to qualification for the Mundial, finishing 2025 unbeaten and topping their World Cup qualifying group.
Despite calls for his dismissal ahead of the tournament, Odartey Lamptey remains steadfast in his support.
“I have absolute trust in Otto Addo and his technical team to deliver for Ghana at the 2026 World Cup,” he told GHOne TV.
Ghana has been drawn into Group L alongside Panama, England, and Croatia. The Black Stars will open their campaign against Panama on June 17, face England on June 23, and conclude the group stage against Croatia on June 27.
The team is currently training in Vienna as they prepare for upcoming friendly matches against Austria and Germany later this month.
