A cargo truck driver and a VIP bus mate have been injured in an accident at Konongo on the Accra-Kumasi Highway in the Ashanti Region.
The crash occurred on Wednesday morning near Yawkwei.
Information gathered by Adom News indicates that the VIP bus had parked on the shoulders of the road when the cargo truck transporting carrots from Kumasi to Accra veered into the VIP’s lane and crashed into it.
Emergency responders, including the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service, quickly rushed to the scene to prevent traffic congestion.
The injured victims were rushed to the Konongo Government Hospital for treatment.
