The National Service Authority (NSA) has reopened its online portal for eligible applicants seeking PIN codes under the defaulter and private candidate categories for the 2026/2027 national service year.
In a statement issued on Sunday, August 30, the Authority said the portal will be accessible from Monday, August 31, through Friday, September 4, 2026.
“The extension is intended to give eligible applicants another opportunity to complete their registration.
“It covers Ghanaian nationals who completed their tertiary education outside the country, private candidates, defaulters and applicants who encountered difficulties during the registration process,” the statement read in parts.
The Authority has therefore directed all applicants to complete their online registration and submit all relevant supporting documents to designated NSA offices within the period.
The NSA also reminded the public that under the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), every Ghanaian citizen who completes an accredited tertiary education programme is required to undertake national service.

“Management is therefore encouraging all eligible persons who have not yet regularised their status to take advantage of the extension to complete the process and obtain their PIN codes,” the statement added.
