NPP youth lock office

New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth in the Krachi West Constituency has justified the chasing out the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the district, Douglas Osei-Nti from his office Tuesday afternoon.

A former constituency chairman, Kwame Mathias Orleans has told the media that the DCE’s incompetence and actions are dwindling the fortunes of the party, going into the 2020 general elections.

According to Mr Orleans, the DCE has a specific group of people to whom he awards government contracts.

He has also rejected the notion that their actions were rowdy, insisting that all they did was to go to his office to request him to leave peacefully.

“We didn’t go there to fight him or sack him. He is not helping us as a youth in the constituency and so we went there in peace and asked him to walk out and we led him to the police station where he is currently being held,” he said on Neat FM, monitored by Adomonline.com.

The youth have also accused the DCE, Mr Osei-Nti Douglas, of doing very little to sustain the lot of the NPP in the district which is located in the newly-created Oti Region.

Mr Orleans also accused the DCE of acting arrogantly since his appointment and not availing himself to businessmen who come to invest in the area.
