A Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Yaw Preko, has expressed disgust at what he calls unsavoury comments by NDC presidential hopeful, Stephen Atubiga which he has directed at former President John Mahama.

Stephen Atubiga is reported to have said that presidential contests aren’t sexual intercourse for former president Mahama to demand a “second round”.

“Being a president isn’t like sex for Mahama to demand another round,” he said while speaking on Peace FM.

But Nana Yaw Preko, commenting on Atubiga’s comments Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem Wednesday said the comments were completely out of order and must be condemned.

He said Mr Mahama has served the country as a president hence must be given the due respect.

“Inasmuch as all of you are in a competition and wants to become president of the country. It is appropriate that you do that decently,” he said.

He described the statement as unfortunate and “completely out of order” and has called on the leadership of the NDC to bring him to book.

  1. How can you call this statement an insult, this is hypocrisy. NPP has to drop you from the communication team because you are fit to be member shame.
