Black Stars Management Committee vice chairman, Wilfred Kwaku Osei has dispelled rumours of a bad blood between captain Asamoah Gyan and deputy Andre Ayew.

According to several reports in the media, the two men are not in good terms over the issue of captaincy.

It was speculated during the 2017 AFCON in Gabon that both players are not in talking terms by the Ghana Football Association debunked the reports.

Gyan and Ayew have consistently rubbished reports of a strained relationship. The West Ham attacker has, with every opportunity, stated his eagerness to captain the Black Stars after leading the U-20 to win the FIFA world cup in Egypt.

However, the Shanghai SIPG striker who is on loan at Al Ahli in UAE have consistently urge Ayew to wait for his own time.

“As management, we have inquired about the veracity of these rumours or otherwise by even confronting both Asamoah and Dede and we found out they are false,” Osei told Asempa FM.

“As far as we are concerned, there is no concrete case to be made about this issue and, thus, must be put to bed.

“As human as they are, they can have their differences, which is normal but then there is nothing concrete to warrant an action from management.” He added.

The two men are currently in camp as Ghana prepare to host Ethiopia in the 2019 AFCON qualifiers on Sunday.
