An educationist, who has reviewed the new Standard Board Curriculum for kindergarten (KG), has said there is nothing explicit in the document.
Dr Esinam Avornyo said there is no labeling of intimate body parts and sex organs in the curriculum.

Some sexually explicit images have been circulating on social media which critics claim are excerpts from the new curricula to be taught in KG to primary six.
This raised eyebrows with parents vehemently kicking against its introduction in schools. Even the intervention of the Ghana Education Service to them is not convincing enough.

So on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem, Tuesday, Dr Avornyo, also a teacher helped set the records straight.
She explained that, the curriculum for children in KG is about “myself, my community and my nation. There is no sexual education in the document.”

Dr Avornyo said there is nothing wrong with sex education, “but it must be in line with our culture.”
